Welcome to the official website for the Stanford Undergraduate Psychology Conference (SUPC), the premier international conference for undergraduate psychology students.
This year's conference will be held at Stanford University on May 21st & 22nd, 2010. The abstract deadline is 7:00pm PST on March 20th, 2010. Space is limited and early registration is recommended.
Sponsored in part by the Department of Psychology and the School of Humanities and Sciences at Stanford University, SUPC serves as a showcase for high-quality undergraduate research. It also provides an opportunity for participating students to exchange ideas and to make valuable contacts.
The keynote speaker for this year's conference is renowned cognitive psychologist Professor Lera Boroditsky. Dr. Boroditsky received her PhD in psychology from Stanford University in 2001 and has been an assistant professor at Stanford since 2004. Her research focuses on mental representations, cross-linguistic similarities and differences in thought, and the acquisition, meaning, and use of language. She has received numerous awards for her research, including the Sundra Foundation Research Award, the Searle Scholars award, and the National Science Foundation's Career Award. She has also been featured numerous times in media outlets such as National Public Radio, the British Broadcasting Corporation, the Los Angeles Times, The Boston Globe, and The Economist.
In honor of our 10th Anniversary, the conference will begin with the keynote address at 4:00pm PST on May 21st. The keynote address will be followed immediately by a 10th anniversary banquet dinner with Stanford faculty and graduate students. All individuals who present at the conference are invited to attend this special celebration.
