from Highway 280:

Parking [view arial campus map]

Parking on the Stanford campus can be difficult, so please allow extra time to find a space. We have reserved special permit parking spaces zoned “Q” for families in our studies. You should have received a temporary parking permit valid in the Q-spaces only, located near the Old Chemistry building.

• From Palm Drive turn right onto ROTH WAY toward the museum (just before you get to the OVAL) and then go left on LOMITA DRIVE. The 3 Q-spaces are on the left at the end of Lomita Drive, beside a metered parking area. The Q-spaces are highlighted in yellow on your map.

• If all the Q-spaces are taken, please park in a metered parking area NEXT TO THE Q-SPACES. Please hang the permit from your rear view mirror, facing out. If you park in the metered area, you will NOT need to put quarters in the meter. If both the Q-spaces and these metered spaces are taken, you can also park in the metered areas at the Oval, but you will have to put coins in the meters. We will reimburse you for parking when you come in. These metered areas are highlighted in red on the map.

• IMPORTANT: Q-PERMITS may be used in metered spaces next to the Q-spaces only if the Q-spaces are full. Please be sure not to park in a handicapped zone or in a crosswalk. There are several such spaces that campus police strictly enforce, and tickets are costly. Carpool areas and other permit areas are also strictly enforced.

• After parking your car, walk down the pathway and turn left on Serra Mall toward the main Quadrangle. If you bring a stroller, there is a wheelchair ramp in the CENTER of the Quad, near our building. The Center for Infant Studies is located in MARGARET JACKS HALL, in Building 460 (marked with a yellow dot on the map).

• When you enter Margaret Jacks Hall, take the elevator down to the lower level, turn left as you exit, and ring the doorbell at the Center for Infant Studies. A research assistant will be there to greet you.
