Susanne Scheibe

Susanne Scheibe obtained her Master’s degree at Humboldt University Berlin, Germany in 2001 and her Ph.D. at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development Berlin in 2005. Her research focuses on emotional-motivational processes across the lifespan. She currently has two main research interests. One focuses on self-regulatory processes as manifested in life goals, life longings (Sehnsucht), and regrets. The other focuses on the nature and effectiveness of emotion-regulatory strategies across adulthood, and how emotion regulation affects cognition.
